St. Andrew’s recently purchased 3 new Automatic External
Defibrillators (AEDs) for the health and safety of our Parish. These AEDs have again been placed in Lowndes Hall, Parish Hall, and the Nave.
In coordination with the placement of the new AEDs, an AHA HeartSaver class for members of St. Andrew’s has been arranged. The course will be held at the TTUHSC Simulation Lab on Thursday, Sept 5, 2024, from 9 am - noon.
The course includes initial first aid, CPR, and AED use. In the class, you will practice and demonstrate lifesaving skills. After successful completion of the course, you will receive an AHA course completion card. The class is open to all St. Andrews members above the age of 14. The cost of attending the course is $55 and can be paid on the day of the course. Scholarships for the fee are available if needed, please notify Fr. Jared.
Registration is limited, so please contact Margaret Jenkins ASAP. The deadline to signup is August 30. Books for study and review prior to the class will be available after enrollment is confirmed. We hope that you will consider attending the course and that we never have to use the AED, but if the situation arises, we will be prepared.
Please contact Margaret with any questions regarding the AEDs or the class. She is available via text at 806-584-4369 or email at majenkins@suddenlink.net.
Thank you in advance for your time and your ministries in our beloved Parish. We look forward to having you participate in another St. Andrew’s lifesaving ministry.
