Our Ministries
Acolytes / Worship Leaders

Acolytes are people who assist with our worship services by: carrying the cross or torches, assisting with the table, managing the incense and more! If you'd be interested in helping out in the services, please let us know! Older children through adults welcome.

Altar Guild

The altar guild cares for the altar, sanctuary, and makes preparations for Holy Communion. This includes tending to altar linens, the altar vessels, and the candles.

Breakfast Ministry

St. Andrew's serves breakfast most Sundays from 8:45 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Everyone is welcome to come and enjoy food and fellowship. We have eight teams who rotate cooking duty. If you're interested in joining a team, contact Annette Mullins!

Children's Chapel

Have a great time worshipping with some of our younger parishioners as they have their own service before joining us in the main Sunday service at the passing of the peace. Guaranteed to be a lively time! (Interview, training, and background check required)

Choir

St. Andrew's has a reputation for outstanding music. Join our choir and be part of "making a joyful noise!"

Dinner for 8

Dinner for 8 groups meet several times a year for food, fellowship and fun!

Eucharistic Visitors

Eucharistic visitors take communion to parishioners who are not able to come to church in-person on Sundays.

Friday Men's Prayer Group

Noonday prayer and Bible Study in St. Gregory's room at 12 p.m. on Fridays.

Lay Readers

Lay readers are non-ordained people who read the lessons (and sometimes the prayers) during the services.

Prayer Shawl Ministry (St. Brigid's Guild)

A small group of St. Andrews’ parishioners knit and crochet prayer shawls for the parish and outreach to friends in the community. We invite men and women to join us every third Thursday from 6:30 –8:00 pm in St. Gregory’s room.If you can’t attend the meeting, perhaps you would like to knit/crochet at home.

Ushers and Greeters

Greeters make sure that everyone feels welcome when they come into the church. Ushers help people find places to sit and make sure they have what they need for worship.

Adult Formation

Enjoy teaching? Have a good story to tell? Love a particular spiritual practice and want to share about it? Our adult formation classes welcome different voices each week.

Beloved Community

The Episcopal Church’s work toward racial reconciliation, healing and justice is guided by the long-term commitment to Becoming Beloved Community. At St. Andrew's our beloved community is one of our most active outreach groups, and meets on the second Sunday of the month via Zoom.

Centering Prayer

Our Centering Prayer group meets on Mondays at 1 p.m. in the Children's Chapel.

Children's Formation

Our children's ministry is growing and could use a few extra volunteers on Sunday mornings. (Interview, training, and background check required)

Daughters of the King

Daughters of the King is an order of Episcopal women dedicated to prayer and service. The Mission of The Order is the extension of Christ’s Kingdom through Prayer, Service and Evangelism. Our DOK group at St. Andrew's meets on the 2nd Wednesday of the Month at 9 a.m. in the Lowndes Hall chapel.

EFM

Enjoy learning about the Bible, Church History, or Theology? Education for Ministry might be for you! Learn more about your faith and how you might be called to participate in it.

Flower Guild

The flower guild for St. Andrew's makes sure that we have lovely altar flower arrangements for Sundays and other special occasions. No experience arranging flowers necessary - we will teach you!

Handbell Choir

St. Andrew's has a reputation for outstanding music. If you can read music, the handbell choir may be for you! Come join us as we make a joyful noise together!

Office Help

Have administrative skills you'd like to put to use? Our office staff welcomes volunteer help.

Rowdy Bunch

A rowdy bunch of guys who do the grilling out for our special events.
